The OERC Academy conducts a number of STCW Modular Courses approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
The institute strated as 'Ocean Education & Research Centre' in 1998 and started conducting DGS approved courses. In 2004 as per the directives of the Director General of Shipping, all DGS approved courses were transferred to the 'OERC ACADEMY', a 'Section-25' company under the Registrar of Companies.
The institute is certified by ABS under ISO 9001: 2015 quality standards. The OERC Academy is a member of the GLOBALMET. The Academy has only one goal, to provide best possible Education and Training to Shipping Industry aspirants in all aspects of shipping and to provide various skills and training to manpower for the Indian Shipping and Shipbuilding Industry.
